Boasting odor-neutralizing properties, sheep wool excels as a natural thermal regulator, keeping your dog warm in the cold and cooler in the heat.

The wool’s hollow fibers provide effective insulation, trapping your dog’s body heat in winter and preventing overheating in summer. During summer, dogs often abandon their beds as the material captures their body heat and radiates it back to them. Our wool-filled dog blanket, with its hollow fibers, counters this issue. The highly breathable fibers enable constant fresh air circulation beneath your dog, preventing heat buildup. Simultaneously, sheep wool fibers absorb moisture from the air, tackling the unbearable humidity that intensifies summer heat. This ingenious solution keeps your furry friend comfortable all season long.

With over a century of expertise, Lavalan® stands as a trusted German brand, renowned for its commitment to animal welfare and eco-conscious practices. Sourcing European sheep wool exclusively, Lavalan®’s supply chain is meticulously monitored and EgoTrace-certified. Their zero-waste and upcycling philosophy further strengthens our partnership.

We opted for Lavalan Sport, an 85% sheep wool and 15% corn-based Polylactid Acid (PLA) blend, chosen for its exceptional performance. This blend is a popular choice for leading outdoor and functional clothing brands like Fjällräven, Alpina, and Helly Hansen, ensuring quality and reliability for our dog blankets.

Fabric

We prioritized a fabric that combines beauty, a pleasing touch, and exceptional durability against scratching. Weighing in at 435 grams per square meter, our heavy-duty upholstery grade fabric remains soft while providing sturdiness and firmness. Composed of 59% Global Recycled Standard-certified recycled polyester and 41% virgin polyester, one medium-sized Lebeddie Dog Blanket repurposes approximately 20 plastic bottles. Originally developed for premium sofas, this fabric is designed to withstand constant use, ensuring lasting quality and comfort for your furry friend.

Care

Lavalan® advises using a wool-specific detergent to ensure your Dog Blanket enjoys a long-lasting lifespan. With dog hair easily removed from the velvet fabric using a vacuum, damp cloth, or sticky roller, maintenance is a breeze.

For a deeper clean, the Dog Blanket is machine-washable at 30°C on a gentle cycle. However, wool’s self-cleaning properties often make airing it out sufficient, conserving water and energy. Remember to avoid tumble drying or ironing the Blanket to maintain its quality and appearance.
